Kat Global B.V. is a Dutch holding company operating at the intersection of software engineering, systems infrastructure, and product development. Founded and led by Viktor Sokorai, Kat Global develops technology that is precise, functional, and built to last. Kat Global is a small Dutch outfit that builds software and a bit of infrastructure around it. Viktor started the whole thing, runs it day to day, and writes most of the code himself with Claude doing a fair share of the heavy lifting. It's not a holding company in any serious sense, it's just us making the things we think should exist.
Our portfolio spans consumer-facing applications, internal tooling, and experimental infrastructure projects, all maintained under a single operational structure with a ruthless focus on quality over scale. Some of what we build is public, some of it lives behind a login and stays there. The idea was never to scale anything or chase a market, it was to have a place where the things we wanted to exist could actually get built without anyone else getting in the way.
We are small by design. Every decision is intentional. Every line of code is ours. We stay small because we want to. A tiny team means fewer meetings, fewer compromises, and fewer people we have to explain ourselves to. We write plenty of code ourselves, and when Claude can do the same job faster without making it worse, we let it.
From chemistry education tools to multiplayer infrastructure. We build software that solves real problems with minimal overhead and maximum precision. Most of what we do is just sitting down and building software. Some of it gets written by hand, a lot of it comes from working with Claude and then cleaning up the bits that need cleaning. Either way, nothing ships if it feels half-finished.
Self-hosted. Raspberry Pi to production server. We own our stack entirely, no unnecessary third-party dependencies, no bloat. We host our own stuff because we don't want to be at the mercy of whoever happens to own our account this month. A small box on a desk handles more than people think, and the rest lives on servers we pay for directly, without anyone sitting in between.
A lean internal structure with clear accountability. Complaints are documented. Conduct is enforced. The CEO retains full authority at all times. The team is small and the chain of command is short. Viktor makes the final call on pretty much everything because it's his company and nobody here pretends otherwise. If something needs doing, someone does it, and if something needs sorting out, you say so directly.
